Job Overview:
As a strategic leader at the resort, the Manager of Resort Entertainment and Program Development is responsible for shaping the overall entertainment vision and creating dynamic, immersive experiences that elevate the resort's brand. This role requires a forward- thinking approach to defining the resort's entertainment, event strategy and program development, ensuring seamless integration of daily music programs, large-scale special events, and seasonal celebrations across multiple venues. This Manager will drive innovation and execute a curated entertainment concept that aligns with the resort’s luxurious standards, while enhancing guest satisfaction and reinforcing the resort’s position as a leading destination for premium experiences.In this role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all entertainment and event-related activities across the resort. From daily music at beaches, pools, and restaurants to high-profile events like beach openings, holiday celebrations, and signature BBQs, the Manager will craft and execute programs that resonate with guests, create lasting memories, and distinguish the resort in the competitive luxury hospitality market. This role demands strategic vision, strong leadership, and the ability to seamlessly coordinate across teams to deliver unparalleled guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Entertainment and Event Strategy & Program Development:
- Establish and implement a comprehensive entertainment and event strategy that enhances the resort’s luxury brand positioning. Define the long-term vision for entertainment across all venues, ensuring an engaging, consistent, and immersive experience for guests.
- Innovative Program Creation:
- Design and execute innovative entertainment programs, from daily music across the resort’s beaches, pool, receptions, and restaurants to high-profile special events, seasonal celebrations, and themed parties. Continuously introduce fresh concepts to differentiate the resort on the market. Plan and execute themed events to create a welcoming and personalized environment
- Guest Experiences:
- Create and develop unique and engaging guest experiences across the resort and outlets, ensuring that entertainment offerings align with guest preferences and enhance overall satisfaction.
- Venue-Wide Coordination:
- Manage and synchronize entertainment and event schedules across all resort venues, Including three beaches, pools, seven restaurants, and receptions. Ensure that all entertainment activities are well-integrated, creating a harmonious and enjoyable atmosphere for guests.
- Talent and Vendor Management:
- Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with top-tier talent, including DJs, live performers, and event production teams. Build relationships with external vendors and entertainment agencies to ensure a diverse and high-quality roster of performers.Schedule live bands, solo musicians, or cultural dance performances to create an engaging dining atmosphere.
- High-Impact Special Events:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee large-scale events such as BBQs, beach openings, and celebrations for special dates (holidays, resort anniversaries). Lead the creative direction, logistics, and execution to ensure events are unforgettable and perfectly aligned with the resort’s standards.
- Resort Concept Definition and Execution:
- Develop the overarching entertainment concept for the resort, ensuring it complements and enhances the resorts identity. Execute this vision across all entertainment-related activities, ensuring consistency with the resors luxury positioning and guest expectations.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage, sales, and operations teams to integrate entertainment into the broader guest experience. Ensure entertainment and events support overall resort initiatives and maximize guest satisfaction.
- Logistical Oversight:
- Oversee the complete logistical process from vendor contracting through execution to payment, ensuring that all aspects of event management are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Oversee the entertainment and events budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources without compromising quality. Negotiate with vendors and talent to deliver premium experiences while adhering to budget constraints.
- Brand Promotion and Marketing Alignment:
- Work alongside the marketing team to promote entertainment and events, driving guest participation and creating buzz around the resort’s offerings. Align entertainment initiatives with seasonal campaigns and special offers to increase visibility and guest engagement.
- Quality Control and Guest Satisfaction:
- Monitor the quality of entertainment programs and events, using guest feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve and refine offerings. Ensure all entertainment exceeds guest expectations and contributes to the resort’s reputation for luxury.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all entertainment and events comply with health, safety, and legal standards. Proactively manage risks associated with events and performances, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
- Trend Monitoring and Adaptation: Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations in luxury entertainment and event management. Regularly assess the competitive landscape and incorporate new ideas that will set the resort apart and keep offerings fresh and exciting.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in event and entertainment management preferably within luxury hospitality followed by Bachelor or Master degree.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic entertainment programs.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of managing cross-functional teams and large-scale events.
- Expertise in sourcing and managing entertainment talent, including DJs and live performers.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, able to manage multiple venues and event schedules.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the entertainment schedule.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with talent, vendors, and internal teams (MNE and EN).
- Budget management experience and proven track record of delivering high-impact events within financial constraints.
