• Responsible for the procurement, storage, and sale of wines
• Creates the wine list/menu
• Trains restaurant staff to recommend wines with appropriate dishes
• Monitors wine auctions and fairs, striving to secure exclusive wines for the restaurant, especially those from
the finest vintages
• Must be knowledgeable about wine laws in all wine-producing countries, stay informed about any changes,
and be aware of innovations in the wine industry
• Obtained professional education lasting a minimum of 3 years
• At least 2 years of experience in the position of sommlier
• Ability for logical thinking and easy communication with colleagues and superiors
